Welcome to Cluck 'n' Run, where your mission is simple: find the hidden escape spot among 10 possible locations on the map. Each playthrough offers a new challenge with a randomly selected escape spot.

Play Online: Use the Arrow Keys or WASD to guide your chicken to freedom. Just click "Run game" at the top of the page to start playing.

  Fun Facts & Behind The Scenes:  

Cluck 'n' Run started as a simple graphics test that unexpectedly turned into this cute mini-game. Initially, I was simply adapting some pixel art in RPG Maker and created a small demo map. I then tested random animations with adorable pixel chickens. They ended up being so cute that I couldn't just let the project go. So, I built a mini-game around them. 🐥✨

Developing Cluck 'n' Run in RPG Maker was a fun challenge, especially as I aimed for the retro style of NES games and the simplicity of Atari gameplay. I had to strip away all modern elements like menus and touch controls to achieve that old-school feel. 🕹️

I love the cozy atmosphere of the game, that soon ramps up to some fun action. Plus, I enjoyed spending some extra time to create a delightful surprise waiting for players who beat all the difficulty levels! 🥇 

Interestingly, this is my third chicken-themed mini-game — only realizing this after finishing the project! But this time, instead of chasing the chicken, you get to step into it's feathers! 😂
